漢字とは？What is Kanji?
漢字は日本語で使われる文字で中国からやってきました。ひらがなとカタカナは日本で作られました。
漢字 (Japanese kanji) is Japanese syllabaly which came from China and clearly Kanji is a father of Japanese writing system. ひらがな・かたかな (Hiragana and Katakana) are children which made in Japan in the long history.
音読みと訓読み Onyomi & Kunyomi
それぞれの漢字は複数の発音（multiple pronunciation)があり、音読みと訓読みの二つに分けられます。音読みは、中国から漢字とともにやってきた発音です。訓読みは、そのあと日本で独自に作られた発音です。たくさんの漢字を覚えるだけで大変なのに、さらにたくさんの発音をおぼえるのはさらに大変ですね！
Kanji has two kind of pronunciations which called Onyomi (音読み) and Kunyomi (訓読み). The first one came from china with the Kanji character and the second one was made in Japan. After all, Kanji has multiple pronunciations and it makes more difficult to master for learners.

最初にどんな漢字を学習すればよいのでしょうか？わたしは日本の小学一年生が学習する８０文字の漢字を学習するのがよいと思います。なぜならそれらは日本のこどもが最初におぼえる漢字で、日本語を話すためにとても大事な漢字だからです。
What Kanji characters should we learn at first?? In my opinion I recommend you learn the 80 Kanji characters which are learned by the first grade of elementary school in Japan. Because they are the Kanjis which all Japanese start to learn and they are very important to grow your Japanese learning.
