あれは B ですか？ ( Is that B?)

1.あれは富士山ですか？

Japanese interrogative sentence is just adding “か ka” in the end of the sentence.
Subject + Noun + Verb + ka?

[Subject] + [Noun] + ですか。 = Is  [Subject] [Noun] ?

Example:

これはあなたのノートですか？
kore wa anata no note desuka?
Is this your notebook?

あしたはオフィスにきますか？
Ashita wa office ni kimasuka?
Do you come to office tomorrow?

2.はい/いいえ Yes/No

• はい。 hai / Yes
• はい、そうです。hai, soudesu. / Yes, it is.
• いいえ。 iie / No
• いいえ、ちがいます。iie, chigaimasu / No, it’s not.

Example

いいえ、あれはたかおさんです。
Iie, are wa takaosan desu.
No, that is Mt. Takao.

いいえ、あしたはやすみます。
Iie, ashita wa yasumi masu.
No, I will take off tomorrow.
